1080p or 4K: choose the right output

Consider the viewing screen, source dimensions, and credit budget before choosing.
Resolution is only part of the picture
Larger dimensions do not guarantee that every detail can be recovered. Source quality, compression, and movement affect the result. Keep your originals.
Start with your source dimensions
1080p is 1920 × 1080 in landscape and 1080 × 1920 in portrait; 4K is 3840 × 2160 or 2160 × 3840. Output is fixed at 30 fps. Only targets larger than the original are accepted.
Know the quote before you start
After the video check, review the exact output dimensions and fixed credit quote. Selecting 4K requests a fresh quote; the app never silently upgrades your selection.
Start with a short clip
Choose a 5–10 second clip with faces, textures, or movement. Review the output carefully before working through more of your footage.
