How to Remove a Watermark from Your Own Image

An old watermark or date stamp can get in the way when you reuse one of your own photos. Removing it means filling the pixels it covered, so the result needs review. Start with an image you may edit and a mark you are authorized to remove; keep the original for comparison.
Prepare the image you want to update
If you still have an unmarked original, use that version first. Otherwise, choose the cleanest copy available, such as your own product photograph with an outdated promotional overlay. Use this tool only for images and watermarks you have permission to edit.
Upload a static JPG, PNG, or WebP up to 20 MB, with a long edge no larger than 2560 pixels and a short edge no larger than 1440 pixels. The supported aspect ratio is between 1:3 and 3:1. Resize a larger working copy before uploading and keep the master unchanged.
Match detection to the mark
Choose Auto detect if you are unsure, or select the matching type: Text or caption, Logo or graphic, Translucent watermark, Repeated or tiled, or Date, stamp, or signature. This selection guides automatic detection; the page does not provide a manual brush or area selector.
Detect all looks for instances of the selected type, including repeated marks. Conservative detection focuses on clearly identifiable instances and aims to leave ambiguous marks alone. Choose the approach that suits your image, then review the displayed credit quote before starting.
Know what a generated repair can change
The tool fills the covered area using nearby visual information. It cannot verify the hidden original content, and may change textures, lettering, edges, or nearby objects. Large overlays across a face, product label, or detailed pattern need especially careful inspection.
The output is an opaque PNG using the fixed 1440p / 2K preset. It preserves the image proportions within 2560 × 1440 pixels, reversed for portraits, without cropping or stretching. There is no output-size selector, and transparency is not preserved.
Inspect the whole image before using it
Compare the repaired image with the source at the same scale. Examine where the mark used to be, then check the surrounding scene. Look for repeated texture, softened edges, leftover fragments, or changes to details you wanted to retain.
Download the PNG and open it in the editor or layout where you plan to use it. If useful content changed or a mark remains, review the chosen type and strategy before trying again. Keep the original so every new result can be judged against the same source.
