Reframe Landscape Video for Vertical Viewing

Start with a supported landscape clip

Inputs support MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, or FLV in 16:9, 4:3, or 21:9 landscape framing. The limit is 20 GB or four hours; portrait and other ratios are not supported.

Choose footage where the main subject is visible and not too close to the edge. Keep the original, because a vertical crop necessarily excludes part of a wide image.

Think about vertical composition

The output is 9:16. Subject-aware reframing follows the scene, so inspect shots with multiple people, crossing motion, or a subject changing direction.

Useful context at the sides may not fit in the vertical frame at the same time as the central subject. Check the crop through the whole shot.

Know what is configurable

The current interface offers 9:16 and does not provide other output ratios. It also has no subtitle-file upload control, even though the underlying service contract supports an optional subtitle input.

The tool validates the actual input and may quote after server-side inspection if browser metadata is incomplete. A filename does not confirm format, ratio, size, or duration.

Watch the crop throughout the video

Review the opening, middle, transitions, and ending. Check that faces, gestures, and key objects stay visible as people move, especially in conversations and crossing shots.

Play the vertical result on a phone-sized screen. Confirm crop, duration, and audio before publishing or replacing the landscape original.

• Check input container, ratio, size, and duration against the limits.

• Keep the landscape source when the vertical crop loses context.
